Frequently Asked Questions

Accounts

We would prefer that orders come from you rather than a bot or some hacker looking for a good time. That necessitates that you have a password that is not easily guessed. Strong passwords don’t have to be hard to remember either. For example:

  • This is a strong password: cleanin2003@2019 that combines the year you got clean and the current year. You could also add periods (.) in between the words or dashes (-) as well.
  • Another good idea is to get a password safe for your smartphone.

Please place an order on the store by 6 PM on the Friday before the ASC meeting to have it ready for pickup at the ASC meeting. You can find the ASC meeting place and time on our website or here. Please note that we manually approve all accounts to cut down on spam. That means you should create an account as soon as you can to avoid any delays. We only approve Group and SCA Committee representatives at this time.

On the check out page, you are asked for your first name and last initial. We ask for your Committee or Group name, address, phone number, and email address. We suggest you use the address of your Group as shown in our meeting list. For committees, we suggest you use the Area PO Box address. If you are concerned about using your own personal email address please contact the Website Chair and ask that they issue you an xxxxx@spacecoastna.org Group/Committee email account if you don’t already have one.

Actually the price is the same when we add in sales tax (7%) and estimated shipping charges (6.5%) as shown in the cart and checkout pages. We did this for three reasons. The first was transparency as to what was being added to the retail prices as set by the World Service Office. Secondly is that it makes it easier for us when we have to do pricing updates. The third reason is that we can easily increase or decrease the estimated shipping charges if we are not breaking even.

If you’re going to buy $1,000 or more it *might* behoove you to check prices from the World Service Office or the Florida Regional Service Office, but the vast majority of Groups will get better total prices from us. For example, let’s take a typical Group order of 3 Basic Texts, 20 keytags, and 15 IP’s.

Space Coast:  3 x 12.15 = $36.45, 20 x .56 = $11.20, 15 x .25 = $3.75. Total with tax/shipping = $58.34
World Services: 3 x 12.15 = $36.45, 20 x .56= $11.20, 15 x .25 = $3.75. Total with shipping = $60.14
In addition World Services will take 5-9 days to prepare your order and 5-10 days for shipping.
Florida RSO: 3 x 12.15 = $36.45, 20 x .56 = $11.20, 15 x .25 = 3.75. Total with tax/shipping/discount = $70.39. Shipped to you in 1-2 days.

We have verified that you could place an order for 1 million keytags, provided of course you got the $640,000 to pay for it.

Products

As mentioned elsewhere we get our product pictures from either the World Services or the Florida RSO websites. Because this is an ongoing problem we have looked on other RSO websites in the USA and often get more confused. It appears that World Services might be using sample one-off images that don’t accurately reflect the final product. The current World Services English store appears to be using graphic artist conceptions of products.

We obtained all of the product pictures from the websites of the World Service Office and the Florida Regional Service Office. Please feel free to call them. If we ever get any products in we will see if we can make some new pictures.
